Colorful microscope for a curious kid. Comes with an experiment kit. Magnification: 40–640x.

The colorful Levenhuk LabZZ M101 Amethyst microscope would make a perfect gift for a curious kid! With the help of this microscope, the young researcher will be able to unveil the mysteries of the microscopic world! The kit includes everything needed for very first microscope experiments. Moreover, the microscope is distinguished by its unusual appearance – it has an originally shaped body of bright translucent amethyst color.

Optics
Levenhuk LabZZ M101 Amethyst – children’s microscope with quality optics that can be compared to those used in many ‘adult’ microscope models. Three objectives are installed in the convenient revolving nosepiece – it allows for quick objective switch without interrupting your observations. The distinctive feature of the model is its sliding two-position eyepiece that replaces two standard eyepieces with 10x and 16x magnification. Since a kid doesn’t need to change eyepieces, they won’t get lost. The eyepiece and three objective lenses provide 40x, 64x, 100x, 160x, 400x and 640x magnification.

Studying microscope samples
This microscope allows for viewing almost any transparent samples, for example a water drop, mosquito's wing, or ready-to-use microscope slides. The specimen should be placed on the round-shaped stage and fixed with two clamps – that way it will always stay in place, even if the child accidently pushes the instrument. The lower light passes through the sample and forms an image in the eyepiece. The brightness level is adjustable – you can easily find the optimal lighting for a particular microscope sample.

Microscope body and power supply
The body is made of durable plastic material. It is both lightweight and reliable – just what is needed for a young user! For even more comfortable use, the microscope head is inclined at 45 degrees. The microscope doesn’t require AC power; it runs on standard batteries, which is safer and much more convenient.

Experiment kit
The microscope comes with an experiment kit that includes prepared microscope slides, special instruments for microscopic work, and an informative user guide with general information about the microscope construction, and recommendations for its use.
