As any other model in the SkyMatic series Levenhuk SkyMatic 135 GTA is a GoTo telescope, but it has one distinctive quality. While other SkyMatic telescopes have Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design, the 135 GTA model is a reflector, which makes it slightly larger than catadioptric models but cheaper compared to them. This telescope has an aperture of 5.1 inches and can be successfully used for planetary and deep-sky observations as well as for astrophotography.
Observing celestial objects with Levenhuk SkyMatic 135 GTA Telescope doesn't require any specific knowledge since the telescope's azimuth mount with built-in GoTo function automatically locates one of more than 42,000 objects waiting to be observed and navigates the telescope tube to it. This smart telescope will do everything by itself. You just need to control it through a hand controller or planetarium software (the cable for connection to a PC is included in the kit). The SkyMatic GoTo mount can be powered by an external 12V battery pack.
Also included in the kit are two eyepieces and a 1.25-inch adapter, which allows you to use telescope accessories of any make and brand with this model. By using additional accessories,you can increase telescope magnification up to its highest practical power of 260x.
