Optics
The lenses are made of high-quality optical glass, which features a high level of transparency and doesn’t distort the views. To make image quality even better, the optical surfaces are covered with several layers of anti-reflective coating. The microscope comes with three objectives pre-installed in its revolver; with objectives you get magnifications of 40x, 100x and 400x. Just rotate the revolver to choose desired magnification.
Illumination
The microscope is equipped with two built-in LED light sources. Lower illumination is for observing transparent samples like thin slices of plants or aquarium water. Upper illumination comes in handy when you want to observe opaque samples like coins or paper. With both illuminations turned on, the device is also suitable for working with semi-transparent samples. The smooth brightness adjustment is very convenient as you can easily change the level of illumination according to your needs.
Body and power supply
The body is made of quality plastic, which makes the microscope both sturdy and lightweight. With its head inclined at 45° the microscope is very comfortable and easy to use. The microscope can be powered by AC as well as batteries included in the kit.
