An amazing gift for a keen researcher. Experiment kit included. Magnification: 40-800x.
Modern Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Amethyst Microscope is the easy way to get a child interested in science and studying. With this microscope, a young scientist will be able to find out how plants and animals are structured, why insects can walk the walls, and many other intriguing things! The microscope comes with an experiment kit, which has everything required for starting a biologist’s career. Bright amethyst body of the microscope makes it very attractive – this microscope makes an excellent gift!
Optics
The microscope is equipped with three objective lenses with magnifications of 4x, 10x and 40x. Changing magnification is done by rotating the revolving nosepiece. The kit includes 2x Barlow lens, so magnifications with every objective can be easily doubled. The out-of-the-box magnification range of this instrument is 40x-800x.
All optical elements are made of high-quality glass and are multicoated for additional clarity of produced views. The microscope provides bright and clear images, which is especially important for working with high magnification power.
Illumination
A double LED illumination system allows for observing samples of different levels of transparency. To observe samples in transmitted light, use lower illumination (prepared microscope slides and other transparent objects are observed this way). To observe an opaque sample, for example a coin or a bill, turn on upper illumination. It’s also possible to observe semi-transparent objects when both illuminations are on. The brightness is adjustable, so you can set the desired level of illumination for each particular sample.
Body and power supply
The body is made of sturdy plastic, making the microscope lightweight and durable. To provide the most comfortable observations, the head is inclined at 45° and can be rotated 360° around its axis. The microscope is very comfortable to use during group observations. This instrument is great for working both indoors (powered by an electric outlet) and outdoors (powered by batteries).
Experiment kit
With the Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit that comes with the microscope, a young explorer will be able to conduct a number of interesting experiments. The kit includes prepared microscope slides, instruments required for creating new slides, and an informative user guide with descriptions of experiments and useful tips.
